Ambassadors
Walkway Ambassadors Are Ready for Service!
Launched at the beginning of 2011, the Ambassador Program has trained many people to assist with special events, provide information and welcome visitors to the Walkway.
Clad in sporty red vests, the Ambassadors hail from throughout the mid-Hudson Valley. Some are teachers, historians, river experts, bicyclists, runners and walkers. Some are retired. Some are students. All are enthusiastic about sharing their love of the Walkway with visitors from the community and from far away. When you see an Ambassador in their vest, say hi. Ask them some questions. You'll be surprised what you will learn.
Thanks go to the trustees of the James J. McCann Charitable Trust and the Cunneen Hackett Charitable Trust for making the Ambassador Program possible.
