The Board Walk
Every Wednesday - All members are cordially invited to join Walkway Over the Hudson Board Members and Executive Director Elizabeth Waldstein-Hart for a weekly "Board Walk", an informal and informative walk over the Walkway. For the week of 9/8/2010 the board walk will begin at 6:30pm on the east (Poughkeepsie) side of the bridge, weather permitting. No need to call, just come and join us. Look for the Walkway Board Walk banner when you arrive.
Flag Changing Ceremony

Clear Channel Radio, WRWD in partnership with the Walkway Friends conduct a monthly flag rotation program called "Stars and Stripes", sponsored by the Mariner's Restaurant, Town of Highland. The American Legion participates in this monthly event which will occur on the Walkway at the flagpole. This month's community group is Girl Scout Troops 10300 and 10135.
Semper Fi Parents 5K Run/Walk

The Semper Fi Parents of Hudson Valley are hosting a 5K run or walk event. Registration/check-in starts at 7:00 am on the East (Poughkeepsie) side of the Walkway. 5K run starts at 8:00 am and the walk starts at 9:00 am. The finish is at the VFW Post at 170 Parker Avenue in Poughkeepsie. Refreshments will be available at the VFW following the event. Peace Bells Across the Hudson

The Doug and Martha Martin Peach Bell Foundation is hosting Peace Bells Across the Hudson. Event check-in begins at 8:30 am at the registration table on the West (Highland) side of the bridge. The procession will begin from both sides of the Walkway and complete at the center. Songs and bell ringing before the walk will occur in the reception area on the west end of the Walkway. Moonlight over the Hudson Party and Fundraiser

The Moonlight Over the Hudson event will showcase our region's newest tourism asset, The Walkway Over the Hudson, in a way most have never experienced...at night...under a FULL MOON! And, you will be supporting the critical economic development and jobs creation work done by the Ulster County Development Corp team.
The event features exclusive access to the Walkway from sunset until the moon is high in the crisp autumn sky. Guests can savor the barbeque flavors of Ulster County favorite Hickory Smokehouse, enjoy a fine ale from Kingston's Keegan Ales or sip a fine wine from one of our local wineries...all as you take in the wonder of the Walkway.
