Hudson Valley Make A Difference Day participants are invited to the Walkway's Center Observation Area for a kick off event, with donuts and coffee at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 before their day of service begins.

Participants, from projects across the region, are also asked to come back to the Walkway’s Center Observation Area at 4 p.m.to celebrate their accomplishments with prizes, refreshments and the creation of a “Helping Hands Across the Hudson” commemorative banner.

Walkway is partnering with IBM and the Hudson Valley Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson to host the group kick off and closing celebration to highlight the time and expertise that Hudson Valley residents will be donating to many great causes throughout the region.

Walkway will also host a Make A Difference Day project of its own to help with clean up and landscaping at the park’s East approach and Washington Street entrance in Poughkeepsie. Register here and join volunteers at 7:30 a.m. or throughout the morning.
