POUGHKEEPSIE,NY—The Walkway Over the Hudson organization opened the Walkway State Park’s new East Pavilion on Wednesday, May 22, and also recognized several donors who gave $10,000 or more in support of various improvements at the popular new state park.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY—The nonprofit group Walkway Over the Hudson hosted nearly 1,300 dancers donning I Love NY T-shirts at Walkway State Park on Saturday, May 4 to commemorate I Love My Park Day and attempt a World Record. While the Walkway organization did not break a world record, dancers celebrated the opportunity to enjoy one of New York State’s most dynamic new parks on a particularly beautiful spring day.

They'll need more than 1,700 people of all ages to complete some simple steps in unison to the "I Love New York" jingle.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY—The nonprofit group Walkway Over the Hudson kicked off its drive today to break another World Record by opening registration for people to participate in a May 4th effort to establish a new world record on Walkway Over the Hudson State Park. Organizers said the event, which coincides with New York State's I Love My Park Day, will result in a rollicking line of participants stretching over a mile long with thousands wearing iconic "I Love New York" T-shirts.

Volunteers Needed For Busy 2013 Season
POUGHKEEPSIE—The Non-Profit group Walkway Over the Hudson is seeking additional volunteer Ambassadors for the anticipated busy 2013 season. The Walkway Ambassadors are specifically-trained volunteers who enhance the visitor’s experience in numerous ways and allow for a diversity of programming that would be otherwise unavailable at the Walkway Over the Hudson Historic State Park.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY— Walkway Over the Hudson and New York State Parks will host a Halloween Party for kids of all ages on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 3 – 5 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the best jack-o-lantern and most creative costumes in five age groups. Pets will also be included in the fun!

POUGHKEEPSIE—The Walkway Over the Hudson organization recently announced the hiring of Malinda Slayton Cruz to serve as the Poughkeepsie-based nonprofit's new Administrative Manager.
