October 2 @ 7:00 am - 10:30 am
The Hudson River Rowing Association and Mid Hudson Rowing Association will be co-sponsoring a 3 mile rowing race on the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Named after the historic Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Regatta (1895 – 1949), the new Poughkeepsie Regatta will be held on the historic course used for the national collegiate championship races.
Races are scheduled to run from 7:15 AM to 10:30 AM. The start is at the Culinary Institute of America’s main campus in Hyde Park and the finish is under the Mid-Hudson Bridge in Poughkeepsie. The entire race can be viewed from the Walkway Over the Hudson (2.5 miles from the start).
Crews from Pelham to Albany will convene at the Hudson River Rowing Association Community Boathouse to compete in Junior, Collegiate and Masters events. Boats racing will include singles (1 person), doubles (2 person), quads (4 person), fours (4 person with a coxswain) and eights (8 person with a coxswain).
