The natural movement of water is a reflection of natural wellness within ourselves. We are healthiest and happiest when the body is relaxed and flowing like the tide of the river, and when the mind is quiet and deep like the sea.
By embodying the observable movements of nature through qigong, our body, mind, heart and spirit align with their own internal nature, helping us experience overall wellness and quality of life.
The “meditative movement” practices of Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) combine easy, fun, flowing exercises, gentle breathing and meditation to help us relieve anxiety, release stress, and feel more energized and peaceful.
All practices can be done seated or standing, and are adaptable to suit individual comfort levels.
Everyone is welcome to participate.
These events are free for Walkway members, while non-members are asked to consider making a donation at the event ($5 suggested).
All proceeds support Walkway Over the Hudson and its mission to bring dynamic programs like this to the Hudson Valley community.
