Virtual Lecture: Roosevelt Homes on the Hudson
November 15 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
From New York City to Albany, there were many places where Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt spent their time or had strong family connections. Join Historian Shannon Butler as she traces the historic homes that shaped the Roosevelt family in the Hudson Valley.
Shannon Butler was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and has been committed to local history for over 15 years. She earned degrees in history from SUNY New Paltz and SUNY Albany. She has worked at several historic sites including the Senate House State Historic Site, Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Site, Clermont State Historic Site, and The Dutchess County Historical Society. She currently serves as the Historian for the Town of Hyde Park, and as the Historian for the Poughkeepsie Public Library district. Her new book “Roosevelt Homes of the Hudson Valley – Hyde Park and Beyond” was just published by History Press.
