Free Twilight Summer Concerts Return To Walkway In 2026

Every Wednesday from June through August, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation welcome talented musicians into the park to bring Walkway Over the Hudson’s Ulster Welcome Center Plaza to life with free live music from 6-7 p.m.

June 3 – Karl Allweier is a Hudson Valley, NY based guitarist/ bassist who has been performing and recording in the area for the past 35 years. He has composed music that has appeared on many popular television shows and commercials, and he performs with many bands in the Hudson Valley and beyond. His solo acoustic guitar work is unique and all his own, singing and performing with an energetic style that always engages and captivates the listener.

June 10 – Carrie Zazz Duo

June 17 –  Tony DePaolo is a Beacon, NY based jazz guitarist specializing in American popular songs, jazz standards and today’s Top 40.

June 24 – Jim Popsipil

July 15 – Storm King Band

July 22O’Sullivan’s March, At the heart of the band O’Sullivans March,is band leader Sean Gallagher’s and Uilleann piper Stephen Gara’s appreciation and respect for Irish, Scottish, and early American music.  Sean formed this outstanding traditional ensemble to evoke the warmth and beauty of Irish culture through its instrumental and sung songs.  Our instrumentation includes accordion, flutes, banjo, fiddle, bouzouki, guitar, Uilleann pipes, bodhran and singing.  By performing beautiful, emotionally charged pieces of this song art we enjoy a connection with our audiences.  

July 29 – Straight -Ahead Jazz Trio The Straight-Ahead Jazz Trio plays classic jazz standards from the 50s and 60s that inspire audiences with uplifting rhythms from jazz, soul, blues, and bossa nova. A typical performance features selections from Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, and Wayne Shorter. The Trio features guitarist Luke Johnson, bassist Eric Marshall, and drummer Glenn Hoagland.

August 5 – Betty & The Baby Boomers

August 12 – Dylan Doyle
Southern born, Northern raised; from a young age, Dylan Doyle has been turning heads with his unique musical interpretations that lie somewhere between R&B, Americana, and funk. Steeped in everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Wes Montgomery; John Mayer to D’Angelo; Bob Dylan to John Prine; The Band to Chris Stapleton; Bill Withers, and Roberta Flack, he has created a uniquely American sound.

August 19 – The Crew Duo

August 26 – Dorraine Scofield has lived and played music in the Catskill Mountains for her entire life. She sings, plays violin, viola, mandolin and guitar. She manages and performs in the country/rock band Thunder Ridge as well as performing her original songs in duos or trios. Dorraine has taken the stage with many national made many radio appearances as well as appearing numerous times on The Food Network and other channels. She performs a wide variety of songs including her originals, and covers including country, soft rock, folk, and just a touch of jazz.

Concerts are open to everyone and suitable for all ages.  Bring your own chairs and blankets!
