at Walkway Over the Hudson
Hundreds of Hudson Valley kids have never experienced the magic of the Walkway. We’re changing that - one student, one family, one moment at a time.
As part of our strategic vision, we’re expanding youth engagement to make the Walkway a more vibrant, inclusive community asset. This year alone, we have:

Engaged over 500 children through Walkway Explorers.

Doubled the number of our free, family-friendly Connections events.

Launched a pilot program to bring every fourth grader from City of Poughkeepsie public schools to the Walkway.
This progress is thanks to two AmeriCorps team members - India Adolfsson and Clara Lima - whose roles were suddenly unfunded after federal cuts in April.
They stayed anyway because they believe in this mission. Now we’re asking: Will you stand with them?
