It was another wonderful July 4th celebration on the Walkway, thanks to the help, support and cooperation of hundreds of volunteers, police, emergency responders and staff. Some 3000 area residents came together to enjoy the City of Poughkeepsie’s annual fireworks display from high above the Hudson River at Walkway State Historic Park on a beautiful clear evening. Legion Fireworks put on a great show, synced with music by Q92 FM and coordinated lights on the Mid-Hudson Bridge. Proceeds from this Walkway Over the Hudson organization fundraiser helped to fund fireworks, emergency services, and Walkway programs.
