On Walkway Over the Hudson, March is Membership Month and when members become superheroes, ensuring we fulfill the promise of the Walkway for decades to come. Their support is essential in bringing family-friendly programming into the park, adding new amenities that enhance the visitor experience, and preserving our treasured history for generations to enjoy.
When you become a Walkway Member, you receive superpowers when it comes to making the most of your Walkway experience. That means:
Walkway membership starts at $50 per year for an individual or $100 per year for a household ($430 value with membership benefits for up to four at one address). Visit join.walkway.org to learn more.
Members joining during Membership Month also get a free Walkway canvas grocery tote just for signing up. That’s in addition to the premium gifts we provide to those that join at the Anchor level and above, including our limited-edition sticker sets and art prints that look great in your home or office.
Anchor Member – $150 per year. Anchor membership represents a commitment to support akin to the “anchors” that have held our deck 212 feet above the Hudson River for more than 130 years. Anchors receive all benefits of a household membership, plus a Walkway sticker set.
Conductor Member – $250 per year. Conductors are vital to preserving our history as the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge while also serving as a guiding light for new memories to be made in the structure’s second life as Walkway Over the Hudson. Conductors receive all benefits of a household membership, plus a complimentary photo print composed by a local artist.
Connector Member – $500 per year. In 1888, the Poughkeepsie Eagle named the Poughkeepsie-Highland Railroad Bridge “The Great Connector” for its crucial role linking people, products, and places. Today, our Connector members are the driving force behind the hundreds of thousands of new connections made on the Walkway every year. Connectors receive all benefits of a household membership, plus a limited-edition vintage travel poster and private, Ambassador-led Walkway tour aboard our electric tram.
Members directly support our corps of 150+ volunteer Ambassadors that bring the Walkway to life for more than 600,000 guests each year, access to our electric tram for seniors and visitors with mobility challenges, a robust and diverse annual calendar of family-friendly community events, summer employment opportunities for local high school students from the cities of Poughkeepsie and Kingston, our Walkway Explorers and Junior Explorers program connecting children ages 12 and under to Walkway’s mission, and more.
