Walkway Talks: The Mysterious Journey of the Migratory Eel

Join us under the pavilion at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum in Poughkeepsie on Sunday, April 30 from 1-3 p.m. and learn about the lifecycle of the American eel. This Walkway Talks event will discuss how community scientists have been monitoring eel numbers in Hudson Valley streams for 16 years as well as conservation efforts that are underway. Guests will visit a sampling site and see young eels that have just arrived from the ocean during this interactive presentation.

This Walkway Talks event is presented by educators from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve and Hudson River Estuary Program. It is free to attend and suitable for all ages.
