Walkway Elevator Suspends Operation For Winter

New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation has suspended the operation of the Walkway Over the Hudson elevator for winter. The elevator is scheduled to resume regular service in April 2020.

Operation of the elevator at Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is seasonal and weather dependent. ADA-compliant entrances to the park are open and available at 87 Haviland Road, Highland, NY, 12528 and 61 Parker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. The Washington Street Staircase in Poughkeepsie is also open during regular park hours.
