“The scenic natural beauty that spans every corner of this state is key to our prosperity, vital to our future and part of who we are as New Yorkers,” Governor Cuomo said. “The Empire State Trail, once completed, will be the nation’s largest state multi-use trail network..”
We are extremely pleased to be a part of the announcement for the development of the Empire State Trail. The Hudson River Valley Greenway, which features the Walkway and adjacent trails, will also connect Battery Park in New York City, Olana State Historic Site in Hudson, Martin Van Buren National Historic Site in Kinderhook, Schodack Island State Park in Schodack Landing, Saratoga National Battlefield in Stillwater, and Fort Ticonderoga in Ticonderoga.
The expansion of this extensive trail network, which will enhance community connectivity and support healthy lifestyles, will also feature a new trail website and mobile app that will further connect New Yorkers and visitors to the great outdoors.
Walkway's waterfront elevator at Upper Landing Park is currently closed for maintenance.
WALKWAY PARKING UPDATE - Walkway's Poughkeepsie lot at 61 Parker Avenue is closed for construction.
