I Love My Park Day

On I Love My Park Day – Saturday, May 4 – folks from around the community are invited to volunteer in Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park and make a difference! Our friends with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation are seeking help with general beautification around the Walkway, improving existing flowerbeds on both approaches, and collecting garbage along the trail leading to the bridge and its parking lots.
Interested volunteers will meet at either the Dutchess Welcome Center in Poughkeepsie (61 Parker Avenue) or the Ulster Welcome Center in Highland (87 Haviland Road) at 9 a.m. with tasks expected to be complete by 12 p.m.
