Walkway Talks: The Mysterious Journey of the Migratory Eel

Presented by Educators from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve and Hudson River Estuary Program at Upper Landing Park in Poughkeepsie from 1-2 p.m.

Educators will present information on the life cycle and conservation efforts of the American eel, including how community scientists have been monitoring eel numbers in Hudson Valley streams for 16 years. Visit one of those sampling sites and see young eels that have just arrived from the ocean!  This event is free to attend and open to all.  It’s great for kids!
