POUGHKEEPSIE, NY—The Walkway Over the Hudson organization began its drive to break another Guinness World Record on Tuesday with Ulster County Executive Mike Hein and Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro shaking hands to kick off this 3rd Annual World Record attempt and begin signing up thousands of participants needed to make the June 1st event a success. Organizers said the event— “Handshake Across the Hudson”—will result in a line of participants stretching over a mile long at Walkway State Historic Park.
